Where can I find more scripts?

Asked by queenzboulevard (2553points) October 31st, 2008

I downloaded a screenplay writing software called Montage from the Apple Website. It came with two sample scripts, Being John Malkovich and Star Wars IV. Is there anywhere I can go to find more scripts to read?

There are a few sites that have them available for free, such as www.simplyscripts.com. You can also do a Google search by typing in the movie title and the word “screenplay”. That should work.

Celtx is an awesome script-writing program. It’s cross-platform, open source, and you can collaborate with others. I know you already have some software, but this has some swanky features.

Is where I get most of mine, they are generally up to date, however if you are looking for a specific script you should search the internet for it by name, because honestly they don’t have everything.

From your username, can I assume you live in New York? (or are you just a rabid Entourage fan?)
If you do live in NYC, There are always street vendors in the East Village (Astor Place area- like around St. Marks and 3rd) that have tables set up on the sidewalk with bootleg copies of film scripts. They’re pretty cheap and there are dozens to choose from.
