- Because he is the best candidate at this point
– Because he is younger that McCain and has a better chance of living through his first 4 years as president
– Because he is not a Bush clone
– The polls currently show he is leading
– Because googlybear wants him to win
– He has a better vice-presidential choice with Biden than McCain does with Palin
Because he is thoughtful rather than reactive.
Because he’s collaborative.
Because he thinks if you spend billions of dollars, you should have something to show for it.
Because he thinks infrastructure is important.
Because he didn’t insult the country by choosing a Psycho Barbie as a running mate.
Because he understands that divisiveness is bad for the country.
Because when he has the opportunity to turn the other cheek with McCain and Psycho Barbie, he took it. Being able to not play in the dirt takes a lot of character.
Because he made education happen from himself, from a situation that so easily could have gone another way.
But first and foremost, he understands, loves and respects the American Constitution. And the importance of the rights of citizens laid out in it. There should never be any compromise to those rights.
Obama should win because if McCain wins, we’re doomed!!!
Obama should win because he is the best man for the job. Period.
Obama WILL win because he is going to bring about POSITIVE change to Washington. He will change the future of this country for the better.
Because he will implement policies in many areas that will have a positive impact on American lives:
1. He is unlikely to start wars, and will only employ our armed forces in defense of our nation and its allies.
2. He will fund and encourage research into alternative energy sources and more fuel-efficient vehicles. He will reward energy and resource conservation by idnustry and individuals. He will curb emissions of greenhouse gases.
3. He will restore the credibility of the Justice Department. He will not trample all over the constitution. With any luck, he may urge Congress to roll back some of the more egregious aspects of the so-called Patriot Act, which do not help combat terrorism, but do violate people’s rights. He will stop torture in the name of the United States.
4. He will consider and support reasonable regulation of Wall Street to combat a repeat of the excesses that contributed mightily to the current financial crisis. He will encourage through policy and proposed legislation businesses to keep jobs in the U.S. and pay a living wage.
5. He will work on reforming health care, which is the worst it has been in my adult life.
There is much more. I am deeply hopeful that he will win. Please, everyone, vote for whoever your choice is.
Because I don’t want to be invaded by Russia.
Because he is a postmodern man, with postmodern sensibilities. The ideas of rugged individualism have been shown to be inhumane and destructive. He understands interconnectedness and the need for community over the desires of the self. It is time for America to move into the 21st century.
He believes in equal rights for all of us, not just some of us. He think what a woman decides to do with her own body is her own business. We are in a war that has no end in sight, and he will get us out of it. The Patriot Act is downright unpatriotic, and I believe he will return our basic rights to us. His tax plan will benefit the middle class, while his opponent’s plan will benefit the wealthiest among us. While I don’t truly believe things will ever change, if there is a candidate that has a teeny, tiny, minute chance at changing things, it’s Obama.
Because he reminds me a lot of Kennedy in that he is a young, charismatic man who may not have all the right answers but will be able to find the solutions to our problems. I don’t know if he will be able to provide all the changes he wants to do but I believe that he whole-heartedly thinks he can have an impact on politics and that to me is inspiring…
All the reasons above and because he’s going to get a lot more votes.
He should not win…because I can not stand him.
Neither should McCain win because I can not stand him either.
Minor party candidates…I can not stand them either.
Any one else want to run for the job?
All the people who could do the job probably know better than to get tangled up in that mess.
Good luck all of you…you will need it…no matter who gets elected.
Taxing some people more than others and not supporting gay marriage…..yeah equal rights for all of us who are not gay and make under $150,000 a year. Whoo hooo for equal rights!
