How do I play xvid files that have a bia extension on a mac?

I downloaded a video file. I cannot find a program that will allow me to play it on my mac. Rather than an xvid file, it is an xvid.bia file. Do you know how to change it to an avi file?

Have you tried using VLC, if yes just take off the extension ”.bia” then try again. You can also use VLC to convert files.
File -> streaming/exporting wizard -> transcode/save to file -> choose an item -> codec settings (i use MP4) -> then where you want to save it and click convert.
