I’ve been in the Phoenix Air National Guard for 12 years now. It is nice because you don’t have all the strict protocol and politics and rigid control like you would see at an active duty base.
Don’t get me wrong, they still run a tight ship but it is a little more relaxed than an active duty base.
I’m in the National Air Guard, and I really think it would vary base to base, and career field to career field.
I do really enjoy the tuition and school benefits that they have to offer though. I’ve been in for about 3 years now, I just feel when I’m out there, there are some very high levels of monotony.
What job are you looking into for the National Air Guard?
