What's the weather like near you?

Asked by fireside (12366points) November 5th, 2008

I just went out and picked up my “Obama Wins” newspaper and couldn’t help but smile. The temperature is about 70 degrees, the sky is blue and the sun is shining. Anyone else enjoying the weather today?

It’s been cloudy and cool (highs in the low 70s) for two days. I would take some sun.

Too warm. We’re supposed to chill out by now, but we’re still floating in the 60s and 70s. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and I’m going to be okay with it today and really enjoy the mild weather.

But I worry that it indicates a harsh winter to come.

I’m currently in Ottawa, Canada. It snowed here exactly two weeks ago today. However, today it is absolutely gorgeous outside! I have my windows in my house wide open and I’m walking around my house in a tank top and boxers. I hope the weather stays for a little while.
Can anyone attribute the weather to something?

well I am still in bed, hungover and looking outside at the grey clouds, Oregon mist and 55 f. I want some sun already.

NJ is gray but it’s a good temperature out. And the leaves are gorgeous, if you read my other question.

CT is beautiful right now! It’s supposed to rain, but it’s as if the sky itself is happy Obama won!

For the first time in what seems like ages, a little overcast and about 58 degrees. Thank God, or whomever.

Three years in the Nevada desert now, sunshine makes me sick.

The sun is shining, the sky is light blue, and the clouds in the sky are puffy.
It’s also perfectly warm but not hot.

We’re still in the high 80’s and low 90’s here in Phoenix. It’s another Indian Summer for us but we’ve come to expect those more often than not.

If anybody out there is getting rain or is expected to and doesn’t want it, could you send it our way? We’re a little parched here in the southwest. :o)

here in NY (south eastern NY) it’s gray and it’s been in the 60’s last few days. no complaints from me.

Today in West Virginia it is gorgeous. I’m not one to believe in “signs” or even God necessarily, but it’s hard not to take it as a gift in conjuction with last night’s election results!

It’s cool and cloudy, with little droplets of rain occasionally. Right now we’re getting golden afternoon light through all the red and yellow leaves. It might not be 70/Sunny but I think it’s perfect.

It has been absolutely beautiful here all week long. Clear blue skies, unseasonably warm, just all around nice weather. Today was a bit cloudy but hardly any rain (a mere six drops on a brick), but a wonderful day nonetheless.

Here in Winnipeg, Canada, the weather is miraculously nice. Usually by Halloween we have snow, but we’re all just waiting with bated breath…

At the moment it doesn’t know what to do. Last week was glorious sunshine, the beginning of this week has been cloudy and drizzly and apparently we are due to have heavy rain by the weekend. I like that though, variety in weather is fun!
