Anyone up for a round of favorite words of the moment?
An exchange with asmonet earlier today prompted me to think about some of the myriad (yes, that’s one) words I have on my favorite word list, which is beyond long.
This has been done many times on Fluther and well worth going back to read over those discussions, but my tastes change so another go round is always fun in my book.
Also, what makes a favorite word for you? Often, for me, it is the sound.

@wrestle What does that (Ululu) mean in English and is it a proper noun? Did you mean the Babylonian month?
Two of my all-time favorites words are callipygian and pulchritude.
it’s a babylonian month? I’ll be damned, I have to brush up on my history, and no it’s a word we made up in my school it means idiot. instead of ccalling others idiots we call them ululus.
TheHaight!! Where have you been girl? :D
One of my favorite words ever is “fuck” because it can be used as a noun, expletive, verb, etc. Probably not very , erm, dignified, but oh well.
Another is “free.” It can almost never be bad.
I’m surrounded by too many people being loud, reckless, and unnecessarily vulgar at the moment because the boss is in Mexico, so I can’t think. I’ll come back.
@poof: I’ve been here, there and everywhere!...and i agree, “Fuck” is another favorite word because it’s such a “bad” word but so interesting.
I know this is obvious, but I gotta say it – Obama sounds really great right about now.

No. “es” is the third person/formal (usted) conjugation of ser. I was using the informal “you” (tú) form, which is “eres.”
Uh. Eambos, I don’t speak Spanish, but in every language that I do speak, “your head” is distinct from “you.”
LOL, ¡todos de ustedes tienen cabezas muy grandes!
another favorite word: vertiginous
So i guess a big hat would be appropriate?
sombrero
Who you callin’ big headed?
Mucilagenous.
Yeah, eambos, you’re talking about the CABEZA, not about the TU (which is used here as a possessive pronoun, “your head”, not “you”), so the verb is third person, not second. Almost got it though….
@Eambos: Tu aerodeslizador está lleno de anguilas.
@knot: It’s that hat…one size too small, maybe. aginou
