I’ve recently had some TDK disks separate. I’d like a sturdy, reliable brand that has some longevity, somewhere around $35/100.

blue ray. best picture quality!
@A_B – Blu-Ray is actually a different format of disc altogether.
I don’t know what’s best, actually. This site recommends these, for some reason:
1. Verbatim DVD-R or DVD+R, made in either India or Taiwan.
2. Taiyo Yuden DVD-R or DVD+R, from an authorized dealer only.
3. Sony DVD-R or DVD+R, made in Taiwan only.
I wish I’d seen this before!
You want Taiyo Yuden Premium line, if you can afford it. Go here for up-to date info on the best sorts of media to buy. A lot of the name brand companies farm out to manufacturers that seem to specialize in making coasters, if my experience is any indication!
I’m loyal to Verbatim DVD-R.
