Can anyone recommend a good AutoCAD 2009 tutorial?

Asked by intro24 (1434points) November 6th, 2008

Something that gives the basics of how to create and render 3D objects. Nothing too complex. I just downloaded the trial version and I’ve never done anything with CAD before. So far I’ve made some weird cube and gotten a mild headache.

Thanks.

If you’re just getting into CAD, despite the name, AutoCAD can be pretty confusing. I don’t know what you plan on rendering with the software but there are plenty of others to choose from. My two personal favorites are SolidWorks and Pro-Engineer. I also have used a free CAD program called Alibre. You might want to check those out if you end up not like AutoCAD. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any references, I’m sure seVen’s link will work fine for 2009 as it did for 2008.
