There are some heroes and the main character is one. Everyone has horrible English accents and tour doggy companion is the best part of the game besides working up your fame by dancing and flexing your muscles.
In the first a young boy lives in a village, the village is attacked by bandits and the boy is taken to the guild of hero’s where he is trained to be a hero. He then goes around doing quests, earning experience and boosting skills like magic, strength and guile. Eventually the story unfolds that there is evil in Albion (the land where the game is set) and he has to fight Jack of Blades, a hero turned bad. He is captured by Jack of Blades and sent to jail where he finds his mother who tells him the secret behind his families blood line and why is is so super awesome. He escapes from prison, rescues his mother and defeats Jack and One of the main heroes, Maize who everyone thought was a good guy. Then he finds a super special sword and everyone lives happily ever after, the end.
Or you do what I did in the first story and join the bad guys, kill all the good guys, and level up only my strength, meaning I was able to go the “awesome” sword without doing that whole “good guy” thing.
what about the second one?
I’m not sure, I don’t have it.
From what I hear from my friends online, it is basically the same, you start off as a boy, you get a dog, then you either chose to be good or bad, then safe everyone, or kill everyone. Not much in the area of “deep story-line” from those games.
But don’t quote me in that, as I have yet to pick the game up for myself, I saved my 60$ for LittleBigPlanet (unfortunately)
Wikipedia has great game summaries. I often cross-reference with Youtube to either see more game footage, or to see the highlights of the game (such as a boss battles).
