Did you watch the press conference of the President Elect? What did you think?
It just finished. What did you think?
My eyes popped when he talked about the dog issue. Malia is allergic and they want to get a shelter dog “but obviously, a lot of shelter dogs are mutts like me.”

Aww i missed it, its not online yet is it?
Just as more information, he also talked a lot about not being president yet and more serious issues like the economy, how to respond to the congratulatory note from the President of Iran, and a stimulation package.
Also: puppies.
Check his website: www.change.gov.
I’m sure it will be there in about 2.5 seconds.
Yeah, I thought the ‘mutts like me’ comment was interesting.
His tone was presidential, determined, and somber.
It was just, you know, he was so careful and deliberate not to “play the race card” or emphasize his race or really comment on it at all during the race, it really amused me that he would refer to it so casually now that he can breathe a moment on things like that.
I thought overall he did a great job.
I just have such a crush on him right now I’m happy with whatever he does. :-)
Seriously, though, I thought he was deliberate and thoughtful and didn’t reveal much about plans because they are still in process. At times, he seemed a little hesitent but he seemed to get easier as the conference progressed. I love it when he is spontaneous and lighter though. The mutts like me was a refreshing piece of candor, as was his humor about not talking to the dead presidents.
They said in my city paper that there has never been more activity so soon for a President elect before as there has been now.

I suspect that is because there hasn’t been any other administration leaving such a mess behind as the current one.
I was impressed and proud to call him my new president.
As much as I love him, I had mixed feelings about it. Was he exhaused? The Nancy Reagan comment was odd.
I cringed at the Nancy Regan coment too. I heard that he called her and apoligized.
