Since I’ve begun eating much much better, I didn’t realize I’ve effectively cut out refined sugar and caffeine. I’m in a world of hurt right now, on day 3. How long will this last?

The caffeine withdrawal only lasted about 3 days but refined sugar is worse. Basically your body is cleansing itself of poison. So, you can imagine why it would hurt so much. Just make sure you get plenty of water and eat lots of fiber to hasten the waste removal process. Yay!
Oh, and I’m craving simple carbs like a beast right now. I just want to gorge on chips, goldfish, and pretzels.
You should check out a book on the effects of Candida Albicans on your body. It’s pretty sick.
I’m withdrawing from coca cola again. Worse part- the headaches and the fact I love my coca cola.
Andrew; try a crisp sliced apple with some cinnamon sprinkled on the slices. Or celery stalks filled with non-sugared peanut butter. Or real, organic, dark grape juice, slightly watered and with ice.
It’s your yeast beasts screaming “Feed me.” Stay on course and any overgrowth should die back at then end of about seven days.
My caffeine withdrawal generally last 6–7 days, but by day six it’s almost unnoticeable.
You’ll have cravings that are more intense at the 3-day mark, 3-week mark and 3-month mark. If you can make it past these, you’ll be fine. I found herbal teas with vanilla flavor, but without sweetener helped me when I had the desire for sugar or coffee at night.
My caffeine withdrawal lasted about 2 weeks. but i had it pretty bad. I cannot even imagine undergoing sugar withdrawal, i’d have to be restrained. good luck :P
for me, about a week. Drink lots of herbal teas (bulk, organic only, with peppermint and chamomile). This helped a bunch for me.
I’m on day 3 of quitting sugar and caffeine (and drastically reducing carbs), and if the first 2 days were headachey and yuck this is worse. I woke up feeling poleaxed – headache, nausea, absolutely bone tired – to the extent that I phoned in sick and went back to bed, not something I do often at all. I’m hoping it’s just the withdrawals because I don’t think I have ever felt like this before, except maybe with a bad flu….
