Shazam: put your iPhone up to the speaker of a device while a song is playing and Shazam identifies song and artist.

iSol: solitaire app

Scrabble: self explanatory

Hey, how do you make cool symbols?

My husband and I always come up with cool things the iPhone should be capable of. Stuff like: taser, garage door opener, remote control, brethelizer (sp?), lighting control, thermostat, thermometer, etc., etc.

well you have to go on settings then general then click on keyboards then international keyboards go on Japanese and click kana go to a text or somethng to use your keyboard you’ll have a little globe on the bottom left click it…it will turn into Japanese press the abc button then press ☆123 and there you have it.

(Air Sharing) I can share files through my wireless network with Air Sharing. I can transfer content very fast.

(Remote) I can also use my iPhone as a computer remote for music anywhere in my house.

(PhoneSaber) When I’m bored I can swing my iPhone around and make Lightsaber noises.

I can operate my three camera’s from the phone, use the phone as a pass-threw to my photo gallery online (assuming I have internet) I can also use it to operate a few robots I built for paintball, meaning I have guns strapped to trees outside, so i bring up a map and tap on the gun I want to fire. Next year I plan on upgrading that “App” so I can shoot all of them at the same time and rotate the guns, maybe even hook up webcams… but I don’t know about that part. I can also use it as a flail, as I have a solid metal case for when I am out in the wilderness and don’t need the phone, I just need the phone to stay alive. It is attached to the end of my sword which I always take with my out into the wild.

Someone above mentioned they wanted to use their iPhone as a remote – well I do that already. In addition to the iTunes remote that everyone knows about, there us also a free app that can control MythTV (a PVR).

I also think that Ocarina is amazing. It turns your iPhone into a wind instrument. You blow into the microphone and change notes by covering “holes” on the screen, like an electronic flute. That’s amazing enough, but it also broadcasts everything you play in realtime so others can listen in to your performance or it has a mode that you can listen to random performances from all around the world.

I think Lux is the best game I’ve played (essentially Risk).
