I’m not trying to sound like a dick, but if you don’t know what the differences are between them, you probably wouldn’t get much more out of them than you would a regular, consumer handset.
That said, I’d get an iPhone, because the G1 still has some hardware quirks, and the operating system is still brand new and there’s not a whole lot of support yet. Wait for the G2 if you want to go that route.
Well, I already bought an iPhone, but even if there had been Android phones before, I still would have bought the iPhone. For the simple reason that the iPhone market has matured amazingly fast, and when something matures at such a rate, you know they’re on to something.
I would agree with tone. wait for the G2… give the app developers some time to get some good stuff out there.
Plus: the G1 form factor is just confusing… whats with the bend?? I don’t need a second bulge in my pants, Thank you very much.
haha, second bulge…I feel you on that one. Having used both I can see Gphone has a lot of thing Iphone doesn’t like you can take a picture and send it it to anyone (it converts to SMS) for example which was cool. I also like how texts come up. But Iphone also has a lot GPhone doesn’t. I’m curious how the blackberry storm will compare. They make it look better than iphone but I think Iphone is something way way way ahead of it’s time. I tested out every new touch screen phone and nothing really compares.
I for one hate pix texting and hope that I never have a phone that supports it. On days like Election day where everyone was getting those stupid chain texts with songs and pictures and all that crap, my iPhone was a blessing. I haven’t really reseached the G1 phone only because I’m happy with my iPhone right now.
I love my iPhone. I am not sure how I ever lived without one.
screen size and thickness is why I would pick the iphone over the G1.
iPhone is years ahead of everything else right now. Just the app store by itself is probably going to take a couple years for anyone else to get right. Yes, I know there is an app store for android but it doesn’t compete today. Most importantly, the iPhone just works – if my sister can use one, anyone can! ;-)
well if you think how long it took for these other companies to release their iphone copies after iphone came out. I’m sure Apple is already working on the next one haha. No other phone seems to be able to duplicate the type of touch screen technology they have in this phone. Like they have tried but other touch screens are usually slower or not as responsive. Can’t wait for Iphone #3 hahahahoooooo
I would pick iPhone over g1. Hopefully some other companies can make better android phones cause htc is outdated.
I am excited to see the blackberry storm. That might be something to get me off my iPhone. But until I touch it I won’t know.
