When driving, is anyone else a Cruise Control junkie?
Either I’m entirely lazy or I’m just way too dependent on the Cruise Control in my car, or both.
When I merge onto the freeway and just as soon as it is convenient to do so, I put my car on Cruise Control and I do this also on any stretch of road that I’m driving on, whenever possible, that has a speed limit that will accommodate the operation of the Cruise Control.
Also, when on the freeway, I will continually switch lanes as often as I can (safely) in an attempt to not have to brake and then reactivate my Cruise Control over and over again. Maybe I just find my drive a lot more relaxing when I don’t have to spend so much time accelerating and braking constantly.

I’m not a ‘junkie’, more like I need to use it or I’d get too many tickets. There are many roads around here where the speed limit is much lower than I’d like to go. Some were lowered from 40 to 35 MPH, and there are frequent speed traps set up. I can’t afford the consequences, so I use it as a speed limiter.
I am more inclined to use it if I have marijuana on me. If I am riding clean I tend to speed. If im riding dirty I always use cruise control and do the posted speed limit. Being in a car and getting pulled over is where your most likely to be busted.
I cruise control in low speed zones like hearkat or if i have marijuana on my/im high like buster. Otherwise i tend to speed.
I’ve always preferred to use cruise control when on interstates.
On my short highway trip to work in June, I got a speeding ticket, so now I am careful to use it everytime I pass through that section.
Heck yeah, I use it whenever I can.
I do the exact same thing, Bluefreedom. Especially about doing anything possible to avoid braking on the highway. That came from the realization that using CC drastically cut the amount of gas I was burning, right about the time gas was getting close to its peak. So yeah, I’ve become a bit of a junkie that way.
I use it the same way on a twenty foot road or a 200 mile highway – all the time. As soon as I possibly can. And I won’t buy a car without it. I’m hooked.
Heck yeah. I use it in zones where I’m afraid cops will get me for going over the speed limit(45 or 35 for example). Naturally I use it on the Interstates too. I love going 75–85 MPS with traffic on those.
