A cake from scratch from cracking eggs to icing by me takes 1.5 hours. So two cakes for each chef would be 500. Now if they were making it in bulk quantities I would think it would be less.
It’s not so much the number of bakers as it is the capacity to bake a thousand cakes. You can make cake batter for 100 cakes in about the time you can make it for one, if you had the capacity. Same for the icing. Based on your time frame above, I’d say you’d need 10 bakers and 500 ovens.
Or that… You just had to one up me, Sueanne, didn’t you?
Couldn’t be further from my mind. I’m deep but not that deep.
@asmonet: Hey, I used your number of hours to bake a cake by yourself. I think we teamed this one.
@asmonet, I am placing you under house arrest for the flagrant violation of the OT laws!
