Duct tape. Solves all problems.
Mainframe of what exactly?
By calling in experts who know what they are doing and have done it before. Also by not messing about with the thing in the hope you can fix it before you call them.
You could always use it as an excuse to update from an S/360 compatible to a server or supercomputer.
You Do have a backup of your data, right?
RAID, RAID, and more RAID. Or colocation….usually more cost effective unless you talk “REALLY” big.
This is a question to ask your mainframe vendor. If you’re actually shelling out the bucks for an honest-to-God mainframe, your vendor will have offerings that handle redundancy and disaster recovery.
If you’re just trying to get us to do your information technology management homework for you, well, send your professor’s email my way so I can get the credit.
LOL Wilbur! You’re a morning grouch! GRIN ;)
Eh, it sounds like homework.
