What type of gaming? Console or pc? If it’s a PC, you’ll need one hell of a gpu.
Samsung supposedly work really well, provided you use a really high quality high-speed cable like Rocketfish 1800 gamer HDMI
An issue some DLP’s have with music or rhythm-based music is that sometimes, their audio and video signals aren’t exactly timed right.
Fortunately games like Rock Band have an in-game calibration setting to help you align the two signals..
I have a 56” Samsung DLP TV and have had no problems at all with Xbox 360/Wii/PS2/Gamecube or any rhythm games like Rock Band. It’s a great TV for a great price. I don’t use fancy expensive HDMI cables either. The regular Component cables work just fine.
They will not work with any kind of light gun. Other than that, you should have no problems.
DLP’s will provide a great picture for gaming (or anything else you do) and modern sets have very minimal risk of burn-in like old projection sets commonly experience with games due to the constant position of the HUD.
