Sorry guys, I searched for a question about vacations and didn’t see that one. hanging head
That’s okay. :) I’ve never seen this one before!
My best vacation was the two weeks I spent in England two summers ago with my best friend.
A close second is the film camp I went to when I was 16. That was awesome!
Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, with my beloved on a motorcycle. It was not enough. I must get back there before I die. The rest of the trip was also transcendent.
Motorcycle is a great way to travel in a country with narrow roads.
A road trip down the West coast. Washington,Oregon, and California. By the way soapchef I am sooo jealous that you live on the Oregon coast
@lyn It is really beautiful.
@ SoapChef My husband just applied for PA school there I am crossing my fingers that is where we go.
I went to Spain and Italy when I was in high school. I fell in love with Italy and I am bound and determined to move there someday. It was the most beautiful place. So much history, so many beautiful people. Food was damn good too!
2005: I went to Venice, Italy with my wife and three-year-old daughter.
We stayed in this converted 14th century monestary in the old Jewish ghetto section.
No tourists. Amazing food. Wonderful people. My wife’s cousin and his partner drove up from Rome to visit. It felt like we lived there. I didn’t want to come home.
Probably to Sydney for New Years. Awesome fireworks, awesome beaches and we made awesome friends :)
Lived in Japan for a few weeks. No responsibilities = a great time. Oh, and awesome convenient store food, great video game arcades, and a beautiful country to explore. Great times.
it was when i went to Ohio state to visit my relatives there. and went to many differant places there. the best thing was the zoo they had there. it was amazing.
Manhattan, my 40th birthday with Gimmedat. During that trip we saw the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building (way over rated), Wicked, Katie, Matt & Al, Tony Bennett, Jackie Mason, Josh Groban, Tracy Chapman, Greenwich Village, the Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero (amazingly moving place), MOMA, Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, the inside of subway cars, and so many street vendors I couldn’t keep count. It was truly a magical four days and I will never forget it as long as I live.
It was my husband and I 25th anniversary/Father’s Day on the same day, and we went on a halibut trip. Caught the limit of 2 per person, and then we walked the beach, combing with our daughter, she loved that, and we just drove around sight seeing, and loving all the eagles and animals that we got to see. It was perfect.
All of them. (Being Thailand, Mexico, Turkey, Greece, United Arab Emirates, and Oman.)
Norway with Mom, Aunt, and Cousin. Met many second cousins. Stunning landscapes, clean as a whistle, lots of public spaces, felt welcome everywhere. Late June weather was ideal.
