I’m using Kompozer to publish a YouTube video to my website. When I insert the HTML code in a table, it just comes out as a white box when i publish it to the internet. it’s a blue object box on kompozer, but publishes a white box. no video! what could be the problem?

If you want to share the site I will look it over.
And are you using the HTML link or the Embed code? You should be using the one that says Embed.
It should look similar to this:
<object width=“425” height=“344”><param name=“movie” value=“http://www.youtube.com/v/8kUgL67eZsY&hl=en&fs=1”></param><param name=“allowFullScreen” value=“true”></param><param name=“allowscriptaccess” value=“always”></param><embed src=“http://www.youtube.com/v/8kUgL67eZsY&hl=en&fs=1” type=“application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=“always” allowfullscreen=“true” width=“425” height=“344”></embed></object>
I will be forever in your debt if you can help me figure this out! I’ve been researching troubleshooting tips for DAYS and can’t find anything that works. But, honestly it’s like looking for an indepth answer in spanish when all you know how to say is hola and adios.
anyway, here is the site: http://www.marisaq.com/reels
and here is the embed code i used: <object width=“425” height=“349”><param name=“movie” value=“http://www.youtube.com/v/PAehmvY8WDA&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0×3a3a3a&color2=0×999999&border=1”></param><param name=“allowFullScreen” value=“true”></param><param name=“allowscriptaccess” value=“always”></param><embed src=“http://www.youtube.com/v/PAehmvY8WDA&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0×3a3a3a&color2=0×999999&border=1” type=“application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=“always” allowfullscreen=“true” width=“425” height=“349”></embed></object>
i’ve tried both inserting the code on the “normal view” in kompozer – at the blinking cursor “insert, HTML” then pasting the above code, then i’ve also tried inserting the embed code directly on the “source page” view kompozer, the same result.
i’m not married to the idea of youtube – it just seemed like the easiest way. but i’m completely open to having the videos as a quicktime link – only it seemed so much more complicated to create that code myself, especially because I would want a still from the movie to be the link, etc. but if it is my only option now, any guidance you could give me about that would be SO GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!!
p.s. i encountered the same troubles when trying to embed a statcounter code. it seems that kompozer won’t allow any kind of embed code – it messes it all up when publishing. i tried using NVU just to see if it was a kompozer bug – but same thing happened there. it’s pre-kompozer, so i guess they have the same issues. i also tried downloading Amaya to try publishing a page with that – but it wouldn’t read all the work i did on kompozer – my page looked a mess on that software, so i aborted that idea. anyway, just keeping you informed. :o) thanks again for the help!
