If the number of observing members is one, is that you?

Asked by wundayatta (58741points) November 20th, 2008

Does the “observing members” data count those other than you, or does it include you?

Observing members: 0 Composing members: 0

(My apologies if this has been asked. I searched for an answer, but didn’t find one.)

No! Right now, I see “Observing members: 0 (o)”

That thing next to it is the eye.

But when I start typing, it changes to Observing members 0, Composing members 1. So I would say yes.

Oh, crap. You must be right, dynamic duo. I didn’t know that it subtracted you once you started typing.

When I start typing nothing happens. Neither observing members, nor composing members changes. Too weird.

Yes, you are “the one.”

The only one? ;-)

Yes, it does count you. If you go to an old thread that wouldn’t likely have any visitors you’ll find 1 observing member.
(unless you are writing an answer, then it will say 0 observering members and 1 composing member)

But, does it count you if you are the asker of the question?

Yes it counts if you are the asker but it doesn’t count if you are not logged in.
