Does the monistat shaving relief creme clod your pores?

…I thought monistat was a treatment for yeast infections.

ETA: Also, there is a drag queen who goes by Monistat.

After a quick Google search, it seems like this product is meant to be a remedy for itching and redness associated with waxing or shaving the bikini area. The main ingredient is hydrocortisone, which is the anti-itch stuff.

I’m confused. Do you want to use this as a lotion? If so, I wouldn’t recommend it. You wouldn’t smear yourself in A&D ointment, would you?

If it contains hydrocortisone then I wouldn’t be putting it my skin everyday unless I really had to.

If you are finding you have razor burn after shaving then the first step would be to modify your shaving technique so as to be less harsh. In particular do not shave “against the grain” (for most people that means don’t shave up), make sure you are using a good quality shaving creme that doesn’t irritate your skin, use a sharp razor and change the blade regularly and use plenty of hot water while you are shaving and rinse the blade often. After you’ve finished splash very cold water on your face for about 30 seconds and then a light after shave balm like Clinique or Nivea. Oh… and take your time, if you rush your are more likely to mess up.

Oh, no this girl on you tube uses it as post make up moisturizer or primer and she’s telling everybody how good it is. Her skin is flawless though.
And then i went to walmart where i saw it was something for the bikini area or whatever.

It’s cream to clear up yeast infections. Inside vaginas. And since she did it on Youtube, I’m pretty sure that it’s a complete lie, and she’s just trying to get gullible people to put vagina cream on their faces. Don’t bite!

It contains the main ingredient found in face primers (Dimethicone). I use it as a primer and i would recommend it to anyone. Monistat Chafing Gel works the same as Smashbox Photo Finish primer, it’s just cheaper.
