I like either. I also like my manicotti. Haven’t made that in quite awhile.

Lasagna. But I usually find a way to make a sandwich out of dishes that are pasta and sauce based.

and manicotti is better than both.

I joke that I married my husband for his lasagna. I’ll take it over spaghetti any day.

I LOVE SPAGHETTI SANDWICHES!!!!! But I do have to say, that lasagna is the winner, in my case.

Both it’s a matter of time to make it.

If the lasagna is made well, then lasagna for sure. It is quite hard to screw up spaghetti.

jrpowell's avatar

@battlemarz: I like spaghetti noodles to be very al dente. I can’t eat it at restaurants or at most peoples houses because the noodles are water tubes of mush. But I can do lasagna since overcooked noodles are tolerable in it.

For those who use ragu and stuff like that, yes, it is hard to mess up, and when I make my lasagna, I havet to make it in bulk, because it gets eaten too fast, and I seldom get to get any, especially if the kids are home for it. lol

lagsana with speghetti

@johnpowell: I make all my pasta al dente as well, but I guess it usually doesn’t bother me much. I suppose I am just much more picky about my lasagna. Grandma’s is the best of course :).

Lasagna. I’m not a huge pasta fan, so I tend to prefer those that have less actual pasta in them.

tiggersmom's avatar

Good one mea05key, I should mention that to my kids, and see what they think. lol I am not a pasta fan either, so when I do eat it, that is it. One of these two.

How about using spaghetti squash in place of the spaghetti? The texture is slightly different and a bit healthier. My kids love it.

tiggersmom's avatar

Interesting.

Raggedy_Ann's avatar

Something to think about. They take about 15 minutes to cook in the microwave.

Vegetable lasagna

They look like ears! I’m eating ears! Huh, Prego? That’s not Prego, it’s blooooood! Cannibalism!!1!11! Yaaaaah!!1!!1!

What?

tiggersmom's avatar

While I love ham too, this is in regards to the italian foods. lol
Ears? What on earth looks like ears, what kind of noodles do you use? My goodness.

A_Beaverhausen's avatar

depends whose making it…

tiggersmom's avatar

I have been cooking since I was 12, and believe me, I can make something out of nothing! I hate ego, so I just over stepped MY bounds, and I love to ask food questions.

Knotmyday's avatar

Lasagna, vegetable or otherwise. (still a carnivore) I’m not particularly fond of the Olive Garden offerings though.

AlfredaPrufrock's avatar

I used to like spaghetti better, and I still do when we eat out. But since I started making lasagna with crepes instead of noodles, I love homemade lasagna in a big way. A friend comes form the eastern coast of Italy, and taught me how to make really great crepes.

cak's avatar

Lasagna, hands down! Spaghetti is ok, but I just prefer a good lasagna.

defender's avatar

ah! the question is unfair, i love both! LOL..hmmm…hard decision.i’d say lasagna.

jca's avatar

lasagna – has more texture.

Skaggfacemutt's avatar

I like spaghetti better because it’s lighter. Lasagna is too heavy for my taste. I have made vegetable spaghetti, but didn’t like it. I like spaghetti squash with just butter, salt and pepper.

When I was growing up, my mother would put a little bit of torn King crab in it, you would be surprised what that does for the flavor, I loved it. But, my husband is allergic to crab, poor guy.
