Yoda? Chloe ( Kl o ee) ( I have a springer spaniel friend named that and her sister is Bess). Several Willas, Maggies and Belles around here also.

We’ve had three. Ansa, Ember, & Annabelle. Oso means “bear” in Spanish and was the name of my aunt’s dog. Perhaps a similar foreign word will work.

It actually took me weeks to name my new puppy. During those few weeks I just called him Mr. Puppy until he got worms and my friend suggested I name him Worms. Oddly enough, I found it adorable and quite fitting for a three pound all white malti-poo. Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to say is you can always wait until you get to know your puppy’s personality first, then pick out a suitable name. Or you can name her after a celebrity. I almost named my puppy Brad Pitt.

Glial’s Adrian gets my vote; a good pun and a nice name for a female boxer.

Name it after a female character from a favorite sitcom. If you had two, for example, Laverne & Shirley. :)

@ stephenphl – I’ve often wanted to do the same for two male dogs – but use Frasier and Niles instead…

I like Trixiebelle, and on vacation this past May in Kauai, we met a boxer named Liko who could surf. Man was she cute!

I love names related to their fur coats….like Cider for golden tones.

or Mocha for darker tones etc. :).

We had a female beagle name Freckles. (she was black, tan and white)

I’ve heard of pet named Snickers after the candy bar (mocha, white, tan swirled dog)

Some people name their dogs after their favorite places in the world…I’ve heard of Maui.

Duke if its a boy and Princess if its a girl, so princess. ;)
