If you went to a beach and it turned out to be a nude beach, would you stay and go swimming? Would you swim nude?

When I was young and a hippie I swam nude all the time. Things just don’t hang the way they used to and now I think it would be kinder of me to keep some things covered.
If I were somewhere in the States, I probably wouldn’t stay or at least stay very long. If I were in Europe or South East Asia I think I’d feel a lot more comfortable and hang out for a while. Only topless though, for me. ;-)
Sure, but only with strangers – not friends. Guess I’m funny that way.
Sure. It’s not about comparing and judging at nude beaches. It’s just about relaxing. People who have never done it probably can’t understand.
I guess it depends on the vibe I get. If it’s relaxed and doesn’t seem like people are there to check each other then for sure! Skinny dipping is too much fun to resist.
I’d stay if it was a nice beach – the swimming part kinda depends on things like jellyfish and likes…..
I’d stay, but I don’t know if I’d get naked. Maybe after a few beers…
I’d probably elect not to stay because I’m missing two key elements that would come in handy in this exact scenario:
- I’m not into voyeurism (any more)
– I’ve never been an exhibitionist (except for that one time in Vegas…...)
@ Bluefreedom I was getting a little worried when I started to read your post..I almost stopped reading after “two key elements”
Eh, I would probably not get naked, but I wouldn’t leave either. And it would honestly depend on the ratio of women to men. Not that I’m more comfortable around men, I just think most men look kind pervy when they’re just hanging out naked. If I’m not sexually attracted to who I’m looking at I’d refer to see a naked lady any day of the week. They’re bodies are less boring.
Would staying without going nude be an option at a nude beach? Wouldn’t it then be a ‘nude optional beach’?
And am I the only one thinking “when in Rome…” if everyone’s nude, you’re not gonna stand out for that reason!
In St. Martin, all of the beaches did not require a top, and there were some select beaches that were optionally fully nude.
At all of the beaches, I did not wear a top and was fine with it. There were also some ladies at those beaches that were worth seeing topless!
My ex and I went to a nude beach one day out of curiosity, and yikes. We imagined it could be fun, considering the boobies at the other beaches were pleasant, but at the fully-nude beach, everyone you’d never want to see naked was naked. We left.
And just what do you plan on doing
whilst your in the water???
@ applegate are you asking me or the other posters?
Yep. I lived in 3 nudist communities, so I would have no problem swimming nude.
I probably wouldn’t if I were with people I know. Definitely not with family members. With some friends I would be okay with it.
And if I were alone, then yes. Why not, right?
@scamp: What were the nudist communities like? Did you live completely nude all the time? Why? What was enjoyable about it? Why 3 different communities? Why did you leave? Did you leave the community everyday to go to work and have to put on clothes then? Please share your experience.
@girlofscience
1 Not much different than any other place except we were nude.
2 We wore clothes if and when we wanted. We had the freedom of choice. Some type of portective clothing was highly recommended for certain things, such as frying bacon. ( I learned that one the hard way….oww!!)
3 Showering outside and letting the sun dry you is very refreshing. You can moon a cop and get away with it (ha ha!!) There is a certain sense of freedom that is difficult to explain.
With no clothes, it seems to put everyone on the same level.. ie: No pre-concieved notions or judgement because of clothing styles.
4 Three different places because my husband at the time was in construction and we moved alot.
5 We left because we bought our own home.
6 At the time, I was a stay at home Mom, so I didn’t leave for work, but my husband did. And of course if we left the resort, we got dressed.
You seem to be pretty curious about this, so I am including a link to FANR, which is the association we were members of at that time. The name has changed to AANR, but the association is the same one.
A little side note: I was interviewed in the nude on the six O’clock news one year during National Nude Week!
@scamp: Thanks for the info!
The Wife and I would totally stay and swim nude , only thing is the Wife looks like a college teenager all slim and small chested and everyone would likely gawk and think of me as a cradle robber!
