Links to information linking diet and health?

Asked by emilyrose (2277points) November 26th, 2008

My dad today proclaimed that diet has nothing to do with the prevention of illness. He is a prostate cancer survivor who only eats disgusting packaged foods and doesn’t drink water. Only soda and koolaid. It kills me. How can I convince him that the way he eats IS affecting his health?

Is he willing to read a book? ...or just click a link?

You could start here.

Good luck. It he has his mind set, there probably isn’t much you can do. I hope you are able to convince him to take better care of himself for both your sakes.

Click on this link for info for Savvy Seniors. At the bottom is a way to have the newsletter sent automatically every two weeks to your dad’s computer. It contains the most recent and reliable info on health, wellness, illness, retirement, finances, travel, insurance, etc for seniors.
