My baby blanket, my original one with the lion. I was looking at it lovingly in the car on the highway when I was five or six and the wind caught it and ripped it out the window. Never saw it again. But I remember every stitch.
I think about it a lot. it’s weird. it’s been sixteen years for fucks sake!
The user name and password to my StudentBackup account through UC Davis. If I lose a paper… I’m screwed. =[
a keepass database vital for my job! :S
The treetop angel that I crocheted about 20 years ago.
My “Phantom of the Opera” soundtrack CDs. I hate having an earworm and no way to listen to the song.
My wife’s other diamond earring (a Christmas gift from me; she lost one a year ago and we just looked again today while cleaning under the bed).
And my shoebox full of Star Wars figures from 1978–1983 with cardbacks and accessories. I gave them to my brother-in-law in a moment of stupidity 20 years ago and have regretted it ever since. I think he pawned them. :(
My set of car keys I tossed inthe window of my P/U truck while I put some items in the bed from a cart. I simply tossed them casually in an open window with enough force to maybe make it to the middle of a bench seat. I never saw them again. Thats been 5 years. The engine just went south recently. “I called one if the ‘I’ll pick up your vechicle for free guys”. I actually took the seat (cushion and backrest) out, removed the seatcovers. Still no keys…...............?
Pup: I have a big box of star wars stuff in the attic that go back to the original movie. Figures, different flying craft (space ships?) all kinds of stuff. Was going to toss them or give to Salvat Army. They have any value?
The last page of a deferred compensation contract telling me exactly how much they will pay me.

@Cardinal: YES! If they’re in good condition, particularly unopened, they’re worth quite a bit to the nerds out there. Myself included. :)
Hmm. Now that you mention it, where is MY harmonica…
A pair of sapphire earrings my husband gave me years ago. Sentimental value, not replaceable. Suspect they were stolen.
@ Cardinal: I’m accepting sympathy donations. LOL
A pair of hard to find, fairly expensive boots I got last Christmas. I think someone actually stole them.
a watch that I bought for my bf for christmas last year that he lost.
The necklace I got when I saw the Nutcracker when I was 13. It was beautiful. Some bastard stole it in the locker room my freshman year.
My marijuana! Oh jeez, I lost it in my moms minivan a couple weeks ago. It still hasn’t been found, and I looked everywhere in that stupid van. That was the only place I had it, too. I thought I set it on the passengers seat… bah, it’s a mystery.
my wife’s engagement ring… we lost it recently, dammit
