Earth by itself is a big coincidence. We are actually at the right distance from the sun to receive proper radiation to heat up the earth surface, we have just the proper amount of atmosphere to sustain the heat and probably even spinning at the right rate and angle around the sun
Humans are merely a product from long and effective evolution. We might be something else in fact. We might not even look like what we are today if something changes half way during evolution. In fact, 2 similar humanlike breed occured along the way, the Neanderthal and us.
In our everyday life, I believe coincidence plays a part also. Do we really have control on our life?

A happy coincidence, yes. All the particles were in the right place at the right time. :)
Good thing, otherwise there’d be no such thing as gummi bears.
I could totally do without the gummi bears.
But, I digress. Yes, everything that has occurred had to have done so for us to be what we are today. Some believe that is God’s plan, some that it is mere coincidence. I myself am unsure, but happy to be here, just the same.
A coincidence, I don’t know. That’d be one hell of a coincidence. I’m grateful nonetheless.
Not a coincidence. There is a Master plan. You are in it.
Can I request a modification to the CC&Rs?
@August, even when they are dipped in chocolate?
I have a difficult time believing life is just a coincidence. In my own life there have been too many examples of amazing things happening that just cannot be explained away by mere coincidence.
Do we have control? Who knows. A friend likes to say that fate = we’re all going to die. Destiny = when and where. I wonder about the whole control thing just as I wonder about the concept of freewill. I just don’t know on either.
@PupnTaco, you can request a modification, but it will have to be brought before the entire board and be passed with more than a 50% majority, even then the board president has the right to veto any changes.
@Super: Especially when they’re dipped in chocolate!
Statistically impossible means it never happens. Statistically improbable means it eventually happens. We are statistically improbable. There’s no coincidence. It was bound to happen eventually.
More like, divine lottery.
