Does anyone know a translation tool that translates phonetically...

Asked by jtvoar16 (2176points) November 30th, 2008

Or even if it just outputs in the language you input?
For example, if I wanted to know how to say\spell “In death I found my meaning,” in Greek, but use english letters, where would I go? Google Language Tools and BabbleFish both output in the language you are asking for.

Basically; I am looking for something that will translate my English into Greek, but keep the letters\characters in English, like it is on the back of the dollar bill.

You mean like this? ταμπεχ? (tampex).

Or this; Good morning; καλημέρα : kalemeyra.
Or this; Thank you; ευχαριστία: aypharistia.

I have the Greek alphabet memorized so I did the transliteration myself.

I made a mistake when asking this question. What I was looking for was a translation into Latin. I didn’t realize what I was doing until it was to late.

Well, some of us had fun. :-)

Latin translations are written in the Roman alphabet so you don’t have to transliterate.

Audio, video, disco.

True. Although I do love messing with my friends heads when I send them email in other languages using my mac!

Or I reek. Ano mes, I know I probably eaoe eoeruteing srong but look eox asesome teas looke. (I know I am probably doing something wrong but look how awesome this looks?)

There is something not quite right about the Greek letters. I haven’t a clue about the Oriental languages, Mac or no Mac.

You mean like this? ΣΚΥΛΟΣ (dog)—-> SKILOS
