I would love to buy my daughter a pair for Xmas. I checked EBAY, but alot of the sellers are from China and Hong Kong, which I’m worried about ordering from them. Thanks for suggestions!

The dumpster. Where all uGg’s should be.
You can trust the sellers from Hong Kong definitely because a lot of shipping from Australia goes through the shipping docks of Hong Kong. My mum used to import sheepskin boots from Australia back in the 90s, so I wouldn’t worry. I’m not sure about China, but Hong Kong is definitely a safe place to buy from.
There must be ways to verify that a pair is “real.”
Thanks overgrown….that is reassuring!
I agree with shock on this one. Uggs are UGGly… seriously, by her some books instead
They may be ugly, but they are hot.
Do they make your feet sweat??
Perchik…I’m buying them for my college educated daughter! She can buy her own books (which she does).
College educated and still she thinks uGgs are cool!? Haha, no I’m just kidding. Being at Parsons has rendered me jaded to everything. It’s the damn fashionistas! They’re everywhere!
@shockvalue wait a minute.. Cool? Someone else said they were hot. now I am *really confused…ha ha!!O-o
Yes, they do make your feet sweat if it is not cold enough for them. I love mine because I can just toss them on without socks and go hang outside when it cold. If you want to get your kid uggs in the future you have to order them way ahead of time because they always go on back-order around Christmas and ebay jacks the price up. I have mine for comfort because I am in no way a fashionista. I’m actually kind of a redneck.
@ccrash3: Hey, no problem! The chances of getting your Uggs from Hong Kong are better than China. Though, you never know… I mean, there’s always a risk no matter where you’re buying from. I personally am having some trouble with a seller in California. :) It’s not countries you have to worry about, but rather, the seller.
Try these boots instead: www.akaculture.com. They are the newer better version of Ugg. You can also buy them through Amazon if you prefer. They do have kids’ sizes!
Check Zappos. And I used to agree with those of you who say they’re ugly. But some of them aren’t. Like these
@Les Those are kinda cute!
If you like the style and don’t need the ugg label Costco has ones that are EXACTLY the same and are just as comfortable.
@jessturtle: My friend who grew up in Russia until she was 11 decided to start a business of importing and selling those “valenki” boots. I have to admit I thought she was crazy at the time, but it’s been a year now and she already has deals with some fancy boutiques in the States and Europe and the boots have been written up in several fashion magazines. Who would have thought?! (Well, she would have, obviously.)
