Good Christmas Gift?
Anyone have a good idea for inexpensive Christmas gifts for grown kids who don’t need a thing? Or I guess I should say, the things they do need are too expensive for me? I know you guys are creative and clever. Help me out here. Thanks!

Copy on CD’s this KJV audio Bible it will be a treausre for you and loved ones having God’s Word 24/7 to your disposal.
If you feed your physical body with physical food you should also feed your soul with God’s spiritual food his Word.

What is your definition of inexpensive?
You could get them some goldfish. They are cheap.
Last Christmas my mom wanted to get her friends at work a gift, but was all out of ideas. They are all Chicago Public School teachers and administration who all like different things, and sometimes you just get tired of giving cookies and the like. So I suggested she get them things they could all use. Ice scrapers for their cars, bus cards, etc. She ended up getting all of them those ice scrapers in a mitten things (I have one, too. It is awesome.), and it was a big hit. I’m not saying to get your kids ice scrapers, but maybe things they could use? Do they need their carpets cleaned? Get them a gift certificate for a cleaner. Do they need new silver ware? How about taking them shopping for their choice. You see what I mean.
When years are tough we buy for the little kids and play the steal a gift game for the adults. We have upped the price to $30.00, so everyone brings $30.00 gift and we play the trading game. We don’t buy individual gifts for everyone anymore. This year we’re still in good shape so we did buy for the adults, but they no longer expect it.
A gift card for a favorite restaurant is always nice.
something that would look nice on a mantle :)
What about starting them on a set of Christmas dishes? Buying a place setting a year, would easily take care of gifts for the next 12 years.
Visa or American Express gift cards are always great, since they can use it wherever they like.
Thanks for your ideas. The Bible thing would go over like a lead balloon. Not meaning any disrespect, but we would rather keep our beliefs personal. Goldfish? Ha-ha. By inexpensive, I mean I can’t spend more than $20—$30 on each. Les, you have some good ideas. Judi, we have drawn names before, but it was for the kids to get something for each other. I have always gotten my children each something. Christmas dishes would be something I would love, but my kids aren’t dish hounds like I am. Especially the boys (ha-ha.) I am afraid of gift certificates because I hear that a lot of restaurants and stores are going to close after the holidays. As far as something for a mantle, my kids are drowning in knick-knacks from me already. But don’t be discouraged, give me some more ideas! Thank you!
For my mother in law who has everything I went to KIVA.org and helped a woman in a third world country get a loan to expand her business. Since she was using the money to buy cattle I am buying a toy cow for my MIL and presenting it along with the profile of the woman I helped in her honor. You can donate for as little as $25.00 and you can also buy gift certificates so they can go online and choose who the money will go to. My MIL is not Internet savvy so I chose for her. After the loan is paid back they can take the money back or choose another person to help.
