I’ll go first. The phrase that holds the most power to me in the English language is “Hear O Israel, the Lord your God, the Lord is One.” This phrase holds even more power to me in Hebrew: “Shema Yisroel Adonai Elohenu Adonai Echod.”

I had to interview my mom last year as part of an assignment for my women’s studies class and when I asked her what advice she would give to people on how to live , she replied, “Live strong and with grace.” I don’t think any phrase could ever hold more power for me.
