what song takes you back and always sends a shiver down your spine. For me its comfortably numb (pink floyd) for pure taking me back, and also down to the waterline (dire straits).
Kathys Song (Simon and Garfunkel), still in love with you (thin lizzy) make me sad, and the saddest one ever, for me is You my love, by chris rea. And Sara, Fleetwood Mac

Bridge Over Troubled Water – Simon & Garfunkel
The lyrics to this song completely speak for themselves in a very meaningful and moving way.
“I Remember You” by Skid Row. This song takes me back to so many mixed up, teenage, butt-rocker times. I don’t cry, not hardly, I always smile at the memories this song conjures within me. It’s all about what my foundation is, what I’ve come from, and what I’ve grown into. Amazing that a song can take my mind places I haven’t thought of in years.
The cat’s in the cradle song.
Also, “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell. Anytime I hear this song I’m a little kid thinking that I will never understand why someone ran to someone just to run from him/her.
As I think about this question, songs just flood my mind that represent so many parts of my world.
‘Decatur, or, Round of Applause for Your Stepmother’ by Sufjan Stevens.
“the christmas shoes” by newsong makes me think of my mom. “charlene” by anthony hamilton makes me think of an ex boyfriend of mine who passed away because it was his favorite song.
Some Girls Dance With Women by J.C. Chasez.
Really though, Cats in the Cradle. Sad and sappy…good stuff
Have You Forgotten – Red House Painters
Old Man – Neil Young
Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton
At this moment by Billy Vera and the Beaters.
I’d get down on my knees, kiss the ground that you walk on , if I could just see you again.
