Getting the Disney File from a Blu-Ray disc?
I’m thinking about getting a Blu-Ray copy of “Prince Caspian.” But I also want the Disney File. My laptop doesn’t have a Blu-Ray disc drive, so will I be unable to claim the Disney File? If I can’t get it using the Blu-Ray, I’ll have to get the DVD since I have a DVD drive.

Does your laptop have a high definition screen? If not, it would be pointless to have the blu-ray copy. Not only that, but the size of the file (blu-ray = 45gb) would take up much of the laptops hard drive.
As long as you purchase the “Three-Disc Collector’s Edition+ Digital Copy and BD Live” version, the package you get comes with 2 Blu-Ray discs and a separate disc, which holds the “DisneyFile” copy of the film. This disc is compatible with your laptop’s DVD drive. You won’t need to put either of the Blu-Ray discs into your laptop.
Here’s what you do: insert the “Digital Copy” disc into your laptop and input a code that is provided in the package. The “DisneyFile” copy is then downloaded to your hard drive, and can be imported into iTunes. This copy of the film isn’t high definition, but it looks pretty good on laptops/iPods.
Sorry to sound ignorant, but, what the fluther is a “Disney File”?
kinda sounds like a cos-play pedophile
thank you! and a disney file is basically a digital copy. disney just wanted to give it a special name. haha. basically, on certain movies, you can buy a DVD or Blu-Ray movie that says “Disney File” or “Digital Copy” and save a copy of the movie to your computer to watch in iTunes without the disc in the drive, or put the movie on an iPhone, iPod, etc. I believe it’s even possible to put it on a PSP. That way you don’t have to buy it in iTunes if you want it on your iPod, as well as on DVD.
