How to increase the range or a neatgear rangemax wireless router?

i heard you need to change the channel or something to increase the range,i want it to reach my mac downstairs.any ideas?

What you want is a wifi repeater. It takes the wifi signal, amplifies it & sends it out further. Here is a link on some info & products.
