Why does the mac wireless keyboard not have the number pad?

Because it’s supposed to be more portable. The smaller, the more portable.

@breedmitch The previous version of Apple’s wireless keyboard did have a number pad, but the current version doesn’t. Here’s a photo of both side-by-side for comparisons sake.
