Are you asking us to do your homework? This seems pretty straightforward to me…..

(Try google.com. You find lovely sites like this: http://webschoolsolutions.com/patts/systems/heart.htm#heart)

Perfectionists do their own research, particularly if they are also organized.

But if I had to guess, I’d say Dr. Spock’s.

Gail, did you mean noted baby doctor, Dr. Benjamin Spock, or everybody’s favorite Vulcan, Mr. Spock?

1. Palm inverter foreground
2. Unobstructed clefts
3. Inner split valve
4. lower chamber (not dominant)
9. venus exterior
10. venus caviatas
12. lower chamber (dominant)
13. transient magnum
14. Main pump cavity
15. left pump cavity output
16. center pump cavity output
17. right pump cavity output
27. posterior flange
81. frontal vertical duct
I can’t make out the numbers for the two blue ones on the left. But they are the Left and Right conduct valves.

@thedonja – it’s been hinted at, but you appear to be pretty new to the site, so I’ll say it. While you can use fluther to do your homework (as some very generous people like Allie will sometimes answer these sorts of questions), in general we don’t like it when the only purpose of a question is to get other people to do your work for you.

I’m going to go with Dr. Albert Schweitzer. He was a vegetarian- the heart looks pretty healthy.

thedonja – see heart anatomy
everyone else – see this REALLY COOL video i love love love watching it and am glad to find a thread where it’s appropriate to share it

Also, @everyone – allie’s answers are a joke. if you look at them (and know anything at all about heart anatomy), you’ll know the parts are made up. I only mention this because I don’t what donja to flunk his homework either.

Oh wow. I definitely didn’t read her answers… Kudos, Allie.

This should help.

Sweet, Allie. I would have never known (or cared) but that was badass. You can do my homework anyday.

@Pnl, I was going to say the same thing as I am a coronary care ICU nurse and did not recognize ANY of those labels.

@cdwccm – haha, didn’t you think “wait a minute…did i just learn all the parts wrong???” for a second ;)

my favorite from that list is “unobstructed clefts” hehe

shilolo's avatar

Wait, that was wrong? Uh, oh.

PnL: That animation is pretty rad.

shilolo's avatar

PnL needs to give credit, where credit is due for that little joke…

jlm11f's avatar

nimis, i am glad you liked it! =)

PupnTaco's avatar

@knot: chu cha? Ewokese?

Knotmyday's avatar

actually, a poor attempt at onomatopoeia; trying to emulate keyboard clicks. “Chuh Chik,” maybe. Fail.

PupnTaco's avatar

Ok I’m a nerd

The transient magnum is essentially a backdoor to uranus major.

I don’t care how late this is. These search hits should help.
