More than i could ever convey in this little box.
not really. It is good though. I just prefer my music to have a message that I can relate too.
Listener Project !
Not what most people would think of when they hear “Christian rap”, though, as evinced by the fact that he lists himself as “Indie / Progressive / Folk Rock”. It’s kind of… folk rap, I guess.
No. I prefer orthodox Jewish rap….Matisyahu! Mainly because he has a unique sound…
@foolaholic ever hear of Zao
Matisyahu is good…
Any music that makes itself “Christian _______” automatically sucks!
Stick to gospel and Josh Grobin and shit…
I like christian prog rock.
oh you could also curtail the topic question to: Crap? heh
I don’t look out for Christian Rap, but occasionally I find an artist whose music I enjoy. I kind of like Manafest.
…in my opinion, music and fairy tales don’t mix
@peedub: Lurve for Stryper! Honestly! :D
@iwamoto: best not to listen to most opera, then…
No. I don’t do rap of any kind. I’m too old.
No, I followed the link and did not like the music, but to be fair they could be rapping about Coach handbags and I still wouldn’t like it. I did however like Shilolo’s link.
@iwamoto – Since life is built through fairy tales and myth, I think we should accept that they influence the arts (along with everything we do).
My problem with Christian rap lies in not what it’s based upon, but its intention and attitude. Sometimes it seems to be trying to convert people and show them that the Christian way of life is better than all the rest.
As a side note, I also feel uncomfortable when musicians stop discussing Jesus’ life reasonably and just say “love Him” or “trust Him” or “worship Him” in their music. But that is just a personal preference.
I don’t care for Christian pop music of any sort, since it tends to focus on the superficial rather than the meaningful, and on the public profession and demonstration of faith as spectacle.
I’m huge Matisyahu fan, and I am severely annoyed right now because I found out he is playing in the area, and the show was sold out before I could find where to buy the tickets!
I thought the question was “Do you like Christian Crap,” and I was about to comment on that qualifier when I re-read and realized it was just about bad music (and in that sense, actually mutually substitutive).
So, no.
To be honest no I do not care for it.
