What is the best book on the market about "Going Green"?

Asked by Emilyy (2133points) December 10th, 2008

I know I can go to Amazon and look at reviews, but hey, I trust Flutherers more than the general public. Just wondering if anyone has any personal favorites.

I’ve read some good books on the business of “going green,” but the only stand out on the personal front is Yvon Chouinard’s Let My People Go Surfing. Oh, Gaviotas is the ultimate book on going green—A Village to Reinvent the World.

In which areas do you want to go green? One of the most effective ways is by eating sustainable food. I would recommend The Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto by Michael Pollan to start out with, if you feel interested in a “greener” diet.

Just saw this book a friend recommended, and thought I’d offer it here. It’s called “Build a Green Small Business: Profitable Ways to Become an Ecopreneur.”
