I’ve never heard of it either, unless you’re referring to the suffix.
Okay, so you’re referring to the suffix. I’m pretty sure that it’s pronounced “tupple,” as you suggested above, for example, quintuple.
How about quadruple? Not exactly the same but pronounced “quadroople” or “quadkopek.”
You make a good point, but I’m assuming that it’s similar to, say, quintuplets, in which case the “tuple” is pronounced “tupple.”
It’s a technical term, meaning that it does not have to exist in Real Word Land. In the high-tech company where I work, I hear it said as if it were tupple.
What about “quaddenarii”? Often overlooked.
I would think it rhymes with “couple”
