Why do Transmission and Mail not connect anymore when i use pdanet/iphonemodem?

i used to be able to get new mail and download stuff using my att data plan and my laptop but now it wont let me. i can surf internet and fluther just fine. is this a problem on my end or did att block it or what?

The iPhone data plan will only allow traffic over port 80, so things like torrent downloads and email won’t work when you’re using your computer over the iPhone data plan. There’s probably free software to allow tunneling over port 80, but I’m not sure off the top of my head.

Did you update to os 2.2? I did and it seems to have broken NetShare for me (non-jailbroken app for sharing network connection with computer).
