Do people like the little formatting hints that Fluther offers underneath the answer box?
You know the little note under the text entry box that tells us how to make text bold and whispered and hyperlinked? Useful or confusing? Totally awesome or unnecessary?

Well, considering the number of questions we get about text styling and linking before and after, I think it’s helpful. But, I’m open to suggestions.
I find it helpful, but many people seem to disregard it. There are always a couple questions about “How’d you do that” whenever someone styles their text.
Maybe if it was a little bit more obvious (in an unobtrusive way) more people would look at it.
I love it! Please, don’t ever take it away! I would be lost!!
Because the posts on this site are so conversational, it is an excellent feature to be able to add color and inflection to my part of the dialouge. We often misunderstand tone in written communications so these features are a nice way to be able to change your “voice” on Fluther.
I like it!
Hey CAK! Long time no chat!
I like it.
Hey! Make more!
tooltips are awesome too when you use one word links.
Apparently I can’t figure out how to use it.
I can’t figure out how to follow those helps on my iPhone, or how to add links for that matter.
I like them too! The hardest one for me to figure out was the link one, but once I mastered it, I found it very helpful. I use it all the time!
Since it isn’t standard BB code (or the even better standard of HTML), I find it helpful for new users and unobtrusive enough for experienced users to bear.
The way it’s presented is confusing to novices (like myself), but once you see the ‘entire list’, it makes more sense. Now that I know how to use it, I do, all the time!
