How do I keep my nylons from running?

Put handcuffs on them and handcuff them to your bed. It’s hard for them to run after that.

They are designed to run. I haven’t worn them for a thousand years, but we used to put a dab of clear nail polish on the spot where the run began. If I caught it fast enough, I could at least get thru the day.

My gf says to put them in the frizzer before you wear them.

And take a belt sander to your feet.

@gail: are you the Thousand Year Old Lady? Do you have a standup routine?

Or were you just saying that you haven’t worn a pair for a thousand years? Like, maybe a year or two, but not a thousand? I have to ask, why would you expect to wear them for a thousand years, since you’ll probably not be in much of a condition to wear them for most of that time?

Daloon; I exaggerate to make a point; your response has my head spinning, however. I hate panty hose; they are expensive, they usually run as one is tugging them on; they are either too short or too huge. I used to wear them to work, but thankfully I have been retired for a long time.

I thought panty hose were “Out” anyway. Did they come back in and I missed it?

I have extremely white legs, which I do not always shave. I have to wear high boots if I wear a skirt at work, to hide my tattoo, so the bit of leg that shows looks just hideous, IMO. So the nude nylons just look better. Plus, I feel more professional with nylons; I have no idea why.

What about black tights and black shoes in winter?

try the nail polish. Plus sometimes it depends on the brand, so try some different brands and see if that helps.

Buy some self-tanning stuff, shave just those 4 inches and be done with it!

I do black tights, but I only have two outfits that would be appropriate for the combination. Good suggestion miasmom.

The nylons in a can really do work! The cover well and look like nylons!
