I have a bruised rib. It hurts like hell. Is there any exercise I can do?
I normally play Ultimate frisbee 3–5 times a week. I got injured last week, tried playing tonight, and ugh… I’ve got to let it heal for probably 2 weeks or so. (I’ve had this before.)
Any exercises you can recommend to me in the meantime?

Yes, it is called REST AND DO NOTHING. ;-) Hope you feel better soon!
haha well doing “planks” will for sure help strengthen core and ribs just don’t do em for too long!
Imagine you got a bruise on your shin by bumping into something. Which is a better idea, every day bumping into more things at the same place on your leg, or not?
ok sorry if my first response seemed joking but side and front planks would really help!
i don’t know, but i have heard many stories about people breaking ribs and they say that it is the place that hurts the most when you break a bone. My friend did. Luckily, i only broke a few bones in my hand and once in my fingers and knuckle. Unluckily, im the only one in my family who has!! is anyone like that? Because all my friends are!
No don’t do ANYTHING I’ve broken my sternum before and there is nothing you can do. rest rest rest!!!!
I suggest rest but if you want to move try stretching daily just a little once you feel uncomfortable go back to normal position then stretch until uncomfortable again, same thing happened to me when i fell of an ATV i did what I’m telling you know it helped me keep my muscles stretched yet I didn’t sit around and do nothing for 3 weeks
@Beans, thanks for the suggestion! Glad to hear something other than just rest! I’m resting all the frickin time, and when I feel like moving, it’s nice to have an idea of what I might do. (That’s why I asked the question!)
@Trustinglife Hahahaha no problem really I’m glad I could help. I was going through some questions and I saw your header and it sounded really familiar. It worked for me I’m hoping it will work for you, and if it does you’ll b better in no time you just need patience
