Ugly little things, aren’t they?
Tough and stringy, you really need to cook ‘em a long time. I had sloth stew while I was in Ecuador and definitely not my favorite. To catch a sloth you find a tree where they live and chop it down. They have these vicious 3 inch claws but are really slow and mossy green and they say, “HHHhhhhhh”. Kind of a breathy hiss, and that’s it. Cute-creepy but earnest little critters best left in trees.
The first thing that I find myself wondering is that, if we manipulate the surrounding environment, could we cause different colors of algae as a result? We could have a rainbow of sloths!
