I have been accused of sleepwalking on multiple occasions. From what I hear it usually involves urinating out a open (and sometimes closed) window.
edit: That is not a joke. It is just another example of why my life can suck.
My experiences involve urine, mostly due to the drunken stupor that i went to sleep in.
I have heared of people walking for miles unclothed, and driving.
My window pissing is almost always fueled by a healthy night of drinking.
I must say it saves the environment(no flushing)so there is always a silver lining.
I have been known to wake up in the middle of the night and spend hours on fluther.
Oh wait, I wasn’t sleepwalking.
@Jp I’ve been caught peeing down stairwells and on bookcases while sleepwalking. I guess you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.
My uncle used to sleep walk and piss in trash cans, drawers, and so on. One time he pissed in a gerbil cage.
I used to get high fevers at random when I was a kid. Everytime my fever would break I would sleep walk. My mother found me once in our backyard standing in front of a tree, talking. I guess I also used to talk about flying things. My brother was a sleepwalking pisser. He used to pull the side of the entertainment center door out like it was a stall door and pee. My father and I caught him finally a day before his wedding. My dad got a photo of it and framed it for a wedding gift and sent him a coupon for commercial carpet cleaning service.
Intro24 is known to talk about “wanting to smell crackers” when he is asleep.
I’m not a sleepwalker, I’m a sleep talker. But my 9 year old sleep walks and it scares the hell out of me. He talks, sings and walks around in his sleep and I’m so afraid that he’ll end up falling down the stairs or walking right out the front or back door. I’m also a deep sleeper and I probably wouldn’t know if he left the house. Any suggestions on how to monitor this more closely anyone?
joni, there are magnetic alarms you can pick up for a fair price at home depot. Throw those on your doors and activate them before bed. I’ll have to brainstorm the stairs ffor a minute but I’m sure there is something you can do to help keep you aware, even in a deep sleep.
I’m a talker, my kids and ex are talker/walkers. The funniest thing I ever heard about my ex was that he peed in the refrigerator and/or down the basement steps when he was a child while sleepwalking. His mom had a house full of company when it happened.
Thanks so much @ judochop! I’ve even thought of locking him in his room at night, but then he would be peeing out of his bedroom window too! ;)
I’ve only done it twice my entire life. The first time, nothing interesting happened – I just wound up on the couch instead of in my bed. The second time was when my best friend woke up to me trying to climb my bedroom wall.
When my boyfriend was a little kid, he walked into his parents’ room and peed in their closet.
I ate Apple Jacks from a cup and tried to “take out” something from a keyboard, while sleepwalking.
My nephew used to sleepwalk as a child. They say it was due to stress. Once my sister was visiting her in-laws in rural Arkansas. My nephew went sleepwalking outside somewhere and returned in the morning covered in cobwebs. No one knows where he had been to this day.
im glad i found this, im 19teen and sleep walk a lot more.. i all ways did this as a kid and still doing it.. I walk all the way out side, unlock the door and everything.. one time i run out with not onething on.. omg.. what can i do… i dont even like to go to sleep now…
@looking4answers I would definitely check in with your doctor about your situation. There may be something they can do to help you.
there are bed alarms for severe sleep walking. your insurance will cover it. pretty simple device.
clips on to your pajamas and if the cord is pulled to far out an alarm goes off. these are the same alarms the hospital uses in conjunction with pads that measure your weight, ie. the weight changes the alarm goes off.
