Why do we always liste to the PA system or the man with the micrphone?

and the PA system is associated with authority – when we were kids, it came straight from the principal’s office…

Because their ONE LOUD voice over powers and intimidates all the chattering small voices fighting in our head and amongst us !!

Aside from them being loud, it’s also presumed that people who are given access to PA systems are also given correct information. So it doesn’t really matter if your train is supposed to leave at 10:03 when the blaring voice is telling you it’s running fifteen minutes late. The PA system should have the most up-to-date information.
