What is a good gift for your boss?

Asked by judochop (16124points) December 15th, 2008

I have both of my bosses flying in from Miami and New Zealand today to spend the week hanging out with me. What would be a good gift to get them while they are here. We work in the liquor business so a nice bottle of something is out of the question. They are both young, hip and stylish kind of guys yet more of the mans, man and less on the metro side.

Hmmm. I would think that it would be more on them to get you something as you are the employee….?

However, what about tickets to a local sporting event? Many sporting events that are normally sold out have tickets available due to the economy. This would give them local flavor and would be a manyly man thing to do….also something for you to give more time to spend w/ them in a casual way to charm them….

Even manly men like homemade cookies.

* Digital Picture frame
* Something interesting for their desk, from ThinkGeek
* They probably travel a lot? Try some funky, modern travel gear (like cool luggage tags) from a place like Flight 001
* Other travel gizmos
* And Urban Outfitters usually has a bunch of interesting and wacky gifts, for someone who wants to trick out an office

Books on topics that interest them, or of note in your field.

I forgot about Urban Outfitters. Their stuff is usually held at a fair price and is cool enough for a desk job that pulls mad amounts of bank. I’m gonna stop there this afternoon and see what I can find. Thanks!

Along the travel theme, these containers are pretty damn sexy for a young boss that makes good dough, too.

For me, I would like to give them an interesting book…
