I haven’t heard of either… that help?
… I’ve heard of Kenko coffee…
That help? :P
Kenko and Opteka hardly even make parts for point and shoots, but one thing they do make for P&S’ is those mountable fisheye lenses which is what I’m guessing you’re referring to.
I don’t know anything about either company, but for coming out of a point and shoot I really don’t think that either will make TO much of a difference. So personally I doubt you’ll see to much a difference between the two.
I’ve only heard of kenko slr fisheyes.. Can’t say I remember what the photoquality was like though.
Personally I’d stick to more well known brands like nikon, canon or if on a budget maybe sigma, tokina or tamron..
@meemorize, I don’t think Nikon nor Canon.. and I know Tokina and Sigma and Tamron don’t even make lenses for their point and shoots, and I know Tokina, Sigma, and Tamron make a single part for P&S cameras. I believe Sony makes some things, but I don’t think they make wide angles.
Personally with a P&S… how much worse can it get lol?
@atr408 have you tried searching for these point and shoot wideangle lens attachments on google? There is bound to be someone who’s bought one of those things.
It’s not for a point and shoot it’s for a miniDV camcorder I bought. It’s a canon vixia hv30
Okay even better then, worse than p&s quality so really I mean go with which ever, I personally would say go with the opteka, I’ve seen their product page and they seems semi respectable, but honestly in the end I’m sure those two lenses are exactly the same with a different brand name on it
My son has a Sony fish-eye lense and it adapts to many different camera’s. Great lens!
