Determine physical difference between DVD +R and -R?

I was in quick need of a DVD-R a few minutes ago, and I dug through my desk drawer and found three identical DVDs that are not labeled and are all white on top. I know they are DVDs because they are purple on the bottom. Is there any way I can determine wether these are +Rs or -Rs?
Thanks in advance.

My DVD+R’s are purple, but all three that you have are the same color…
You’re sure there’s no watermark on it saying what kind they are?
No; they are all 100% white on top.
I guess you can figure out pretty quick if it doesn’t work. I’ve never had a problem ever using -R or +R when using it for a project of any sort.
I know with Toast Titanium, it tells you what type of Media you have inserted when you go to burn. I’m not sure about anything else.
Older DVD players (pre 2001) don’t usually have support for DVD+R. If your player inst that old you shouldn’t have a problem.
actually your best bet is to put it in your computer. Many programmes, such as Nero, will tell you. Other than that, there is no physical difference that you could notice with a naked eye.
I think what Eambos meant is some tiny little letters that can be found on the bottom side, near the centre. But even those don’t help on blanks, they’re just serial numbers. Just trial and error I guess. And most new players support both anyway.
