What's your favorite thing to do when you're not doing this?

I will be doing an obscene amount of laundry tonight.
But you’d be a bit nuts if you thought that this was my favourite thing to do.

tonight I will be working on an online magazine – its design time.

but also be cooking and cleaning

I am systematically cleaning up the surprising mess that occurs with no lights, no power or no heat. There are little bits of dried candle wax everywhere.

I should be finishing a quilt top and then getting on doing the back and finally quilting… but I’m just not feeling too inspired. However now that I’m writing this very message I do feel a bit inspired to go cut the fabric… some progress is better than no progress at least!

I’m watching Doctor Who and practicing getting tarted up. I’ve got a date tomorrow (a special one) and I want to paint my face for it. So I will! But, you know, I have to practice a bit.

I went to my 11 year old daughter’s band concert earlier. I will be spending the rest of the evening recovering.

@ august: I feel your pain. Those concerts canbe brutal!
